Abstract

In this work different systems and chemical reactions using the biodegradable polymer poly(3-hydroxybutyrate), PHB, were investigates, that allowed  to propose improvements in  their  potential  applications. Blends with  the of grafted polypropylene were obtained, being the PHB previously modified. In the blends, new interactions were detected. PHB hydrogels were synthesized with acrylamyde, which are of interest for the industrial waters treatment. Also, the study of the PHB degradation in sediments from of the La Restinga lagoon was started.
