ESTIMACIÓN VÍA EXPERIMENTAL DE LA FORMABILIDAD DE LÁMINAS DE ALUMINIO DE PUREZA COMERCIAL
Abstract
This paper presents an experimental study of the formability of commercially pure aluminum sheets, with 0.6 and 0.7 mm thickness, designated AA-1100-O. In this research several laboratory tests were conducted, such as: chemical analysis, tensile test, ball punch deformation test and hemispherical punch method. The tested parameters with direct o indirect influence in the aluminum sheet formability were: ultimate tensile strength, yield strength, total elongation, the strain hardening exponent, cup height and forming limit diagrams, which were determined by testing samples cut from the sheet, as received. The results of these tests allowed to establish that the aluminum sheet formability increased with thickness. In addition, good correlations were obtained between formability, thickness, total elongation, cup height and forming limit diagrams.Downloads
