Abstract

The  advantages  for  controlled  drug  delivery  include  prolonged  action,  minor  quantities  of  drug  use  and  minimum  side effects. Due to its degradation capacity and biocompatibility,  polyester like PCL is suitable for controlled drug delivery, which has led to its application in the preparation of a delivery  system. In these research  micro/nanoparticles  formation was performance through microemulsion protocol. Were able to be encapsulated in PCL micro/nanoparticles a commercial antibiotic:  Sultamicillin.  The  morphology  of  these  particles  was  performed  using  potential  zetha  and  Scanning  Electron Microscopy  resulting  sizes  around  1900-3000  nm  for  agglomerates  and  200-900  nm  for  particles.  The  encapsulation efficiency measure using UV was 75% and under simulates in vitro conditions particles shown excellent performance of prolonged release, show great potential for drug delivery systems.
