Invited Articles

Invited articles: These are articles written by renowned Ibero-American experts at the special invitation of the Editorial Committee of the RLMM. These articles are also peer reviewed (see Peer Review Process).

Regular Articles

Regular Articles: These are free contributions by authors who wish to disclose the results of their research in the RLMM. These articles are peer-reviewed (see Peer Review Process).

Peer review process

Papers submitted to the RLMM are handled under strict confidentiality during their review, and must be "original" research papers that have not been previously published and are not under review by any other journal. The works are sent to a minimum of three referees whose institutions of affiliation are different from those of all the authors of the article.

At the time of submitting their article, the corresponding author must also submit a form (the format of which can be found in the guidelines for authors) with a list of suggestions for possible referees for their work.

If the work is accepted, it must not be published in another journal in the same way, nor in any other language different from the one used in the preparation of the article, without the express authorization of the RLMM.

The Editorial Committee of the RLMM does everything possible so that the arbitration phase does not exceed (except in exceptional cases) a period of six (6) months to notify the authors of the acceptance or not of their submitted articles.

If it is established that a review of the submitted manuscript is required, the authors will be given a period of two (2) months from the date on which they receive the comments from the referees, to review the manuscript and finalize their decision. forwarding to the RLMM for final consideration. A revised manuscript but submitted by the authors after the established two (2) months, may be considered as a new article.

Likewise, it is important for the Editorial Committee of the RLMM to reduce the time dedicated to editing activities (formatting) of the manuscript. For this reason, it is necessary that the authors make use of the format instructions indicated in the Submissions Section, in order to be able to disseminate the article in its final (revised) version in an electronic version within a period of three (3) months, from the date of sending to the authors of the observations made by the referees and by the Editorial Committee itself.

The authors will receive a definitive acceptance email indicating, if feasible, the volume in which their work will be published, first making an "on-line" publication of the work before its appearance in the printed version of the journal.
