ETIQUETADO EN EL MOLDE DE PIEZAS DE PP EMPLEANDO PELÍCULAS DE BOPP
Abstract
The objective of this work was to simulate in-mold labeling technique using Venezuelan PP to study the influence of overmoulding over the adherence strength between BOPP film and PP resin (Propilven grade J600). It was found that the increase of the injection temperature can generate either an increment or a decrease of the adherence strength. Increasing mold temperature causes an increment in the adherence strength of the interphase, and increasing injection velocity produces a decrease of the adherence strength. The effect of the holding/packing pressure was not relevant. These results were coherent with those obtained by a model created using the design of experiments (DOE) software program. This work has an enormous application in the packaging industries.Downloads
