Abstract

PDVSA  -  Intevep  has  made  efforts  in  the  development  of  technologies  and  techniques  in  well  drilling. However, as new sources hydrocarbons are founds in reservoirs, increasingly remote and geologically complex, the  industry  continues  to  handle  new  challenges.  In  this  regard,  was  builded  the  first  System  Simulator  of Fractures (SSF) and the goal with this new infrastructure is evaluate new technologies a big scale. The BIOINT SEAL TM shown the capacity to seal fractures until 4000 μm in short time and only produce 0,1 bbl of the spurt loss.  The  BIOINT  SEAL TM  technology  was  much  better  than  some  conventional  Loss  Circulation  Materials (LCM)  up  to  80%  and  the  mechanism  was  explain  by  plugged  zone  theory.  Furthermore,  was  shown  the efficiency of the new eco friendly seal breakers design by PDVSA Intevep with the capacity is around 80% to remove the seal generate by BIOINT SEAL TM.
